Taekwondo
Taekwondo is a Korean philosophy of self-defense which means foot-hand-art. The physical aspect of Taekwondo is made up of 90 percent foot techniques and 10 percent hand techniques. Taekwondo is not only learning how to defend yourself with your feet and hands, but also with your mind. Your body can be controlled by your mind. In order to perform Taekwondo, you must first develop a strong mind.

"What does Taekwondo have to do with respect and hard work?" It has everything to do with it! Respect and politeness is taught by example. The instructor honors each student’s hard work (irrespective of their skill level), and the student replies with politeness and respect back to the instructor. A monthly skill exam allows progress to be seen. Each person gains respect for what their body and mind are able to do, the importance of hard work to obtain progress, and to respect the contributions made by other persons.

Little Ninjas
Little Ninjas
The Little Ninja's Program is a detailed curriculum for ages 4-6 that focuses on improving preschool-age children's basic motor and listening skills. The program will enhance positive development in a fun and motivating way. The Little Ninja's Program will also prepare your child for our Children's Martial Arts Program. In the Little Ninja classes, your child will be exposed to positive social interaction. They will learn how to work with others and follow directions from their instructors. Our Little Ninjas instructors are good role models who are trained specifically to work with pre-school children.

Our Little Ninjas Program is a detailed program encompassing both physical and mental benefits. The curriculum consists of developing eight major skills necessary for participation in any sport or activity. The eight skills emphasized in our program include focus, teamwork, control, balance, memory, discipline, fitness and coordination.

In our Little Ninjas classes, we make learning fun and educational. Our goal is to help your pre-schoolers be the best they can be at everything they put their minds to. Our motto is: "Little Ninjas today, leaders tomorrow."

Cardio Kickboxing
Cardio-Kickboxing
Cardio Kickboxing blends your own hidden personal powers with the tried and true techniques of personal self-defense and kickboxing. Cardio Kickboxing is totally different from any other workout you have ever experienced. It is the most leading edge, body-shaping fitness system available. We understand that our clients are not training for a real kickboxing match. Most just want to have fun and get in shape. Our energized instructors will encourage and motivate you as they watch you push yourself toward a leaner and stronger body. The many benefits of Cardio Kickboxing include fat loss, toning, increased flexibilty, better circulation and stress relief.

Black Belt Club
the National Black Belt Club program is for those students who demonstrate a Black Belt Attitude. This is the "I will not quit" attitude of someone destined for success in our program. It is our experience that attitude, above all other things, separates those who do from those who do not. The three primary traits of the Black Belt Attitude are enthusiasm, commitment, and a burning desire to improve.

Aikido and Traditional Jiu-Jitsu
Aikido, a traditional yet modern art, was created by Morihei Ueshiba (O-Sensei) in the early 20th century based primarily on his study of Daito-Ryu Ju-Jitsu. O-Sensei refined the old techniques, designed originally for combat, and combined them with a philosophy focused on the peaceful resolution of conflict. The Japanese word Aikido is written with three characters which translate as "the way of spiritual harmony." Aikido techniques seek to blend with an attacker, to use the attacker’s own force against him. It is not a static art, but places great emphasis on motion and the dynamics of movement. As part of our training, we also include Aikido sword (ken) and stick (jo) techniques. In addition, we provide instruction in Ju-Jitsu for self-defense applications and to understand the roots of Aikido. Ju-Jitsu, an ancient Japanese martial art, utilizes a variety of throws, joint locks, holds and strikes to defeat an opponent.

We emphasize a safe and fun learning experience for all. We do not focus on competition, but on developing an individual’s unique potential. As such, we offer a wonderful opportunity to learn a traditional martial art, suitable for all skill levels and body types, and fully complementary to other martial arts training. Due to the complexity of some of the techniques, students do not usually start Aikido training until the age of 14 or older.

Yoga
At Vuong’s, we have created a hatha yoga class of exercise and relaxation. We focus on proper alignment in each asana pose while using vinyassa (flow) to link the poses. The class is customized to skill level, so that a beginner will achieve results and more advanced skill levels will also be challenged and rewarded. Our instructor is certified and has over 200 hours of in-class training, along with years of teaching experience. You can be sure that this yoga class will leave you with a feeling of being more energized, while at the same time relaxed and ready to face the day.
